Norwegian Petroleum Tax Policy

- Petroleum exploration and extraction are very important activities for the Norwegian economy. The petroleum wealth on the Norwegian continental shelf is substantial. As the petroleum is produced and sold, the resource wealth is transformed into taxable income. Hence, petroleum taxation is of great importance for our economy, says State Secretary Geir Axelsen.
