The Official Norwegian Report on cultural policy (NOU 2013:4) was compiled by a committee appointed by the Government in spring 2011 to review Norwegian cultural policy since 2005. The committee presented its report, Cultural Policy 2014, on 4 March 2013.

Not everybody is aware of the fact that it is possible to perform a ceremony outside of the Norwegian Church or other religious- or life stance societies. In a life stance open ceremony, family members can make their own decisions regarding the content of the ceremony.
The Government wants to promote architecture. There is a need for a new, comprehensive architectural policy. Buildings, cities and population centres are facing new challenges from climate change, growth and transformation.
