Skogbruk, trebruk og bioenergi

Skogpolitikken skal legge grunnlag for en bærekraftig ressursforvaltning. Regjeringen vil legge til rette for økt verdiskaping fra skog og utmark gjennom tiltak for produksjon av trevirke, bioenergi og andre produkter og tjenester knyttet til skog og utmark. Skogen gir positive bidrag i klimasammenheng og kan bidra til å løse viktige miljøoppgaver.

Økt bruk av bioenergi og økt bruk av tre framfor mer energikrevende materialer er viktige satsingsområder.

Skogpolitikken legger vekt på frihet under ansvar for skogeieren. Lov- og regelverket stiller samtidig klare krav til miljøhensyn som en integrert del av skogforvaltningen.
