All together the ministries administer state-ownership interests in 80, fully or partially owned, companies, which together employ over 280 000 people. The state-owned companies manage large amounts of economic potential on behalf of the country, making these companies important operators in society. The State is concerned with exercising beneficial corporate governance, including organising state-ownership such that the State’s different roles are kept clearly separate and that there is transparency with respect to the administration of state-ownership.
