Norway contribute NOK 40 million to imminent relief efforts

The earth quake in Haiti is a humanitarian disaster striking a people living in poverty. Norway will contribute NOK 40 million to imminent relief efforts.

“Large parts of Haiti are now in ruins, and local relief efforts are insufficient. We will consider further contributions at the UN’s request”, says Minister of Environment and International Development Erik Solheim.
