High Level Meeting on Energy in the Post-2015 Development Agenda

After four months’ of discussions on energy and development around the world and in cyberspace, the Governments of Norway, Tanzania and Mexico convened the High Level Meeting on Energy in the Post-2015 Development Agenda in Oslo on 9 April 2013.

New blowout control technology in place in Norway

Well capping equipment developed through the Subsea Well Response Project (SWRP) was unveiled in Stavanger today. The Norwegian base is the first of four bases to be opened internationally. The new well capping system will be operated by Oil Spill Response Ltd (OSRL) from its base in Tananger, located in Sola municipality outside Stavanger.

In response to the significant problems experienced on some recently completed development projects on the Norwegian Continental Shelf, Minister of Petroleum and Energy Ola Borten Moe has asked the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to review certain major projects.

APA 2013: Acreage announcement

Reduced tariffs for transport and treatment of new gas volumes on the Norwegian shelf

Today, the Ministry of Petroleum and Energy is submitting for consultation a proposal to reduce the tariffs for new gas volumes from the Norwegian shelf.
