Sylvia Brustad takes over
ministry after Jørgen Kosmo
In today’s session of the Council of State, the King has transferred the leadership of the Ministry of Labour and Government Administration to Ms. Sylvia Brustad, effective as of today at noon. Ms. Brustad will also be responsible for the coordination of matters concerning Nordic cooperation. She will continue to head the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development.
At the same time Mr. Jørgen Kosmo, Minister of Labour and Government Administration, has been honourably discharged from his office as member of the Council of State, following his application to resign.
Jens Stoltenberg’s government was appointed on 17 March 2000. It represents the Labour Party. The Government now has the following members:
