Polytechnic Society in cooperation with Refleks launch a public seminar series: Changing Aid – A new aid paradigm: implications for Norway.

Aid is changing. New growth patterns in Africa and beyond are challenging traditional policies while major new donors, such as China and Brazil, bring new approaches to aid disbursement. This seminar series seeks to trigger reflection and debate on how Norway can be an effective and constructive donor as we enter into a new aid paradigm.

The seminar series is structured around 5 meetings on selected topics where prominent experts present and debate key issues. The Minister of Environment and International Development Erik Solheim will give a lecture at the final sixth meeting where a wider discussion of Norwegian aid policies is undertaken along side a debate on the role of business in development.

Period: Weekly, Tuesdays, March - May 2011
Time: 08.00-10-00 (breakfast served)
Place: Oslo, Håndverkeren (Galleriet)
