Norge sluttet seg 2. august til EUs oppdatering av støtten til Den internasjonale krigsforbryterdomstolen for det tidligere Jugoslavia etter arrestasjonen av Radko Mladic.

Declaration by the High Representative on behalf of the European Union on the alignment of certain third countries with the Council Decision 2011/422/CFSP implementing Decision 2010/603/CFSP on further measures in support of the effective implementation of the mandate of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) and Council Decision 2011/421/CFSP implementing Decision 2010/145/CFSP renewing measures in support of the effective implementation of the mandate of the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY). 

On 18 July 2011, the Council adopted Council Decision 2011/422/CFSP [1] and Council Decision 2011/421/CFSP[2]. The Council Decisions removes persons from the lists of persons subject to restrictive measures following the arrest and transfer to the ICTY of Radko Maldic. 

They will ensure that their national policies conform to these Council Decisions.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
