Carbon capture and storage - CCS
Various governments have worked to realize a full-scale project for capture, transport and storage of CO2 (CCS) in Norway. The Norwegian Parliament approved the full-scale CO2 management project in Meld. St. 33 (2019–2020) Longship - capture, transport and storage of CO2 in the state budget for 2021. A total of NOK 25.1 billion will be invested in the project. The government will cover approximately 2/3 and the industry will cover approximately 1/3 of the costs in the project's first phase.
