Report from the Expert Group on investments in coal and petroleum companies

The Ministry of Finance invites to a press conference on the report from the Expert Group on the Government Pension Fund Global's investments in coal and petroleum companies.

In April, the Ministry appointed an expert group to assess the Government Pension Fund Global's (GPFG) appropriate use of policy instruments and investments in coal and petroleum companies. The group has evaluated whether the exclusion of coal and petroleum companies is a more effective strategy for addressing climate issues in the management of the fund than the exercise of ownership and the exertion of influence.

The report will be presented by the leader of the expert group, Mr. Martin Skancke. The Minister of Finance, Siv Jensen, will be present at the press conference.
