Norway condemns terrorist attack in Russia

“The bomb attack in Volgograd has claimed many innocent lives. All indications are that this was an act of terrorism. Norway condemns this atrocious act in the strongest possible terms,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs Børge Brende.

A bomb blast at the railway station in Volgograd in southern Russia this morning has claimed many lives, leaving even more people injured. The situation is still unclear, but there is much to indicate that it was a suicide bombing.

“Our thoughts are with the victims, their families and the bereaved. I hope that those responsible for this act of terror are found quickly and brought to justice,” said Mr Brende.
