In today’s session of the Council of State, the King has appointed three new state secretaries.

In today’s session of the Council of State, the King has appointed three new state secretaries:

  • Mr. Tor Brostigen (52), political adviser, Oslo, as state secretary to Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg from 1 January 2010
  • Mr. Pål Julius Skogholt (38), county councillor, Tromsø, as state secretary To Minister of Trade and Industry Trond Giske
  • Ms. Ingrid Fiskaa (32), student, Oslo, as state secretary to Minister of Environment and International Development Erik Solheim

At the same time Ms. Kjersti Markusson has from 1 January 2010 been honourably discharged from her office as state secretary to Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, while Mr. Håkon Arald Gulbrandsen has been honourably discharged from the office as state secretary to Minister of Environment and International Development Erik Solheim.

The Government represents the Labour Party (Lab.), the Socialist Left Party (Soc.) and the Centre Party (Cent.). The list of state secretaries now is as follows:
