Statement on the US decision to designate Ansar Allah as a terrorist organisation

'Norway is deeply concerned that the US administration’s decision to designate Ansar Allah (the Houthis) as a terrorist organisation may escalate the already critical humanitarian situation in Yemen', Minister of Foreign Affairs Ine Eriksen Søreide said.

'It might also affect negatively the UN efforts to negotiate a political solution to the conflict', the Minister said.
