The Ministry of Finance approves for Storbrand to aquire SPP

The Norwegian Ministry of Finance has today given authorisations that enable Storebrand to acquire the Swedish insurance group SPP.
The Ministry of Finance has today given authorisations to Storebrand ASA and Storebrand Livsforsikring AS that enable Storebrand Livsforsikring AS to acquire the Swedish insurance group SPP through a newly established Swedish holding company.
Storebrand applied 17 September 2007. The Norwegian financial supervisory authority, Kredittilsynet, recommended 26 October 2007 that the Ministry of Finance gives authorisations for the acquisition.
