Sudan: The dialogue must include a representativ selection of the society

'If the dialogue is to have a genuine impact and promote the development of a more just and democratic society in Sudan, it must include a representative selection of all segments of the society, including the groups that have taken up arms against the regime in Khartoum', the Troika says.

In connection with the launch of a broad-based process of national dialogue in Sudan, announced by the President of Sudan, Omar al-Bashir, Norway, the United Kingdom and the US (the Troika) have issued a joint statement that  emphasises these issues.
