Arild Theimann (b. 1966) was appointed Political Advisor in the Norwegian Ministry of Petroleum and Energy 14 October 2021.

Mr. Theimann has held various positions in the trade union Industri Energi over the past 15 years. Prior to that, he worked 17 years in Transocean. Theimann has a ship mechanic certificate from Tønsberg Maritime and has worked as a ship mechanic in Leif Høegh and Fred Olsen shipping companies. He also holds degrees in process engineering and IT.

Arild Theimann's political background includes several positions in the Labour Party in Vestfold and Sandefjord regions. He has been a member of the Municipal Council in Sandeford since 2003.
