Implementing United Nations Multidimensional and Integrated Peace Operations - A report on findings and recommendations

Final Report

Norway handed over the final report on Multidimensional and Integrated Peace Operations to Deputy Secretary General Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro on 27 October 2008. The report includes important findings and recommendations aimed at improving UN peacekeeping operations.

After two intensive years of field visits, meetings, a series of seminars and a high-level conference, the project has now culminated in a final report.

The report reflects the most important findings concerning coherence and integration of peacekeeping and peacebuilding efforts. The report along with a summary pamphlet has been handed over to Deputy Secretary General Dr. Asha-Rose Migiro. The report is not a governmental position paper and has been drawn up independently of the Ministry. It resonates however with some of Norway's key policy priorities, which we will continue to pursue in the time ahead, hopefully in close collaboration with many other relevant parties.
