Dear Mr Kurti
I would like to extend my warmest congratulations on your appointment as Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo.
Norway and Kosovo enjoy long-standing friendly relations that date back to before Kosovo’s declaration of independence, and I am confident that relations between our two countries will be further strengthened during your term as Prime Minister. Both our countries are firmly committed to European integration and to finding common solutions. The normalisation of relations between Serbia and Kosovo would be an important step forward in this respect. I can assure you that Norway will follow this process closely and continue to contribute to the process. I look forward to further developing the dialogue between our two countries on matters of common interest, and hope we will have the opportunity to meet soon.
