SOPEMI report for Norway

Annually Norway sends a report to the OECD – Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development – as a contribution to the common reporting system on migration for the member countries, SOPEMI. The latest report covers 2006 and most of 2007.

The Norwegian SOPEMI-report, prepared by the Ministry for Labour and Social Inclusion, presents an overview of recent developments in immigration and integration policies and contains statistics on migration and the composition of the immigrant population. The report covers the various forms of migration, citizenship, training and education, the labour market, electoral participation, racism and discrimination. The reports from the member countries are used as an important source for the annual “flagship-publication” of the OECD, International Migration Outlook.
