Combating match-fixing is necessary to protect the integrity of sport, maintain a secure and trustworthy gaming industry and fight international organized crime.


Combating match-fixing is necessary to protect the integrity of sport, maintain a secure and trustworthy gaming industry and fight international organized crime. Recognizing the need for cross-sectorial cooperation, this Action Plan is a joint effort between the Norwegian Olympic and Paralympic Committee and Confederation of Sports (NIF), the Norwegian Football Association, The Norwegian Gaming Company ( Norsk Tipping AS) , the Norwegian Gaming and Foundation Authority, The Ministry of Justice and Public Security and the Ministry of Culture. The plan establishes areas of priority in combating match-fixing. The overriding objective is to; (1) prevent, uncover and respond to match-fixing in sports by means of developing and disseminating knowledge, (2) working to change attitudes, (3) monitoring and regulating of the gaming industry, (4) strengthening the laws and regulations governing sport, and by (5) strengthening our international participation in the effort against match-fixing.
