State Secretary Jens Revold (Socialist Left Party)

Jens Revold is State Secretary for the Minister of Research and Higher education Tora Aasland. Areas of responsibility is higher education and research.

Born: 1948

Education:

University of Tromsø, Cand. polit. degree (master degree in political science). He is also educated at the Nowegian School of Management and holds a master degree in Business and Economics.

 

Employment:

1998-2003: Project coordinator, Norwegian College of Fishery Science in Tromsø. Secretary for International Committee.

1990-1991: Researcher at he FORUT research institute.

1998-2001: Lecturer, counselling adviser and external examiner at the MSc-programme ”International Fisheries Management”.

1991-1998: Managing director at the Center for Environment- and Development studies- SEMUT.

1991-2003: Counselling adviser and external examiner for candidates at the Norwegian College of Fishery Science.

 

Political appointments:


2003–2007: Tromsø local government: President on the Committee for planning- and  buildnings. Vice president Finance- and buildning Committee. Member of the municipal council Tromsø.

1993 - 1999: Member of the municipal council in Tromsø.
