Information for the media attending the Oslo Conference on cluster munitions.
Media attending the Oslo Conference on Cluster Munitions, February 22 – 23, are kindly asked to register with the Conference Secretariat in advance by email: email@example.com. Only preregistered media can expect to access the conference venue. The registration should include name, media institution, and contact details.
Media will have access to the main conference room during the opening session Thursday 22 February from 09:30 to 10:00 and closing Friday 23 February 12:30 – 13:00. Throughout the rest of the conference a designated room will be reserved for media. It will be possible to follow all the proceedings of the conference from there. Please note that photo, sound and video recording during the meeting is restricted to the opening and closing.
Main media events
The Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr Jonas Gahr Støre will hold a short press conference after the opening session of the conference Thursday 22 February at 10.00.
A press conference will also be held directly after the closing of the conference, Friday 23 February at 13.00.
A NGO side-event on cluster munitions is organised on 21 February. For more information and programme contact Lars Glomnes in Norwegian People’s Aid (firstname.lastname@example.org).
The conference will take place just outside the centre of Oslo at the Soria Moria Hotel and Conference Centre. Address: Voksenkollveien 60, Oslo. All press events at Soria Moria will take place in Meeting Room 2 (2nd floor).
Upon arrival please register with the Conference Secretariat.
Wireless Internet and printer access will be made available for media representatives.
