The first 20 years of the Barents cooperation will be marked with a meeting of prime ministers in Kirkenes from 3 to 4 June. Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg will host the meeting. The deadline for accreditation is 27 May.

The first 20 years of the Barents cooperation will be marked with a meeting of prime ministers in Kirkenes from 3 to 4 June. Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg will host the meeting. The deadline for accreditation is 27 May. 

Among those expected to take part are Russian Prime Minister Dmitri Medvedev and Finnish Prime Minister Jyrki Katainen. 

Preliminary programme: 

Monday 3 June 2013

18:00: Outdoor concert arranged by Pikene på Broen. Prime Minister Stoltenberg will open the concert.

20:00: Official reception. Accredited media are invited. Thon Hotel Kirkenes.

Tuesday 4 June 2013

09:00: Barents Euro-Arctic Summit, Thon Hotel Kirkenes.

10:30: Press meeting, Thon Hotel Kirkenes. 

A bilateral programme for Mr Stoltenberg and Mr Medvedev, including press opportunities, is planned from approximately 11:00 to 16:00 Tuesday 4 June. 

The deadline for accreditation is 27 May. (The reason for the early deadline is that there is limited accommodation available in Kirkenes. Media that contact us after the deadline cannot be guaranteed a hotel room.) Link to accreditation page.
