The Ministry of Government Administration and Reform changes its name to Ministry of Government Administration, Reform and Church Affairs from 1 January 2010.

The Ministry is now responsible for church affairs, which used to be a task for the former Ministry of Culture and Church Affairs, as well as Sami and minority issues transferred from the former Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion. The responsibility for public service pension affairs is transferred to the new Ministry of Labour.
