Norway and Mexico have over a longer period been cooperating on proposals to finance efforts against climate change in developing countries. This cooperation is also going on within the UN High-level Advisory Group on Climate Change Financing.

Prime Minister Stoltenberg will today meet with Mexican President Felipe Calderón. Mexico holds a key role as host country for the next UN climate summit, and this will be a topic in today's talks. The summit will be held in Cancun in Mexico towards the end of this year.

Stoltenberg and Calderón will also discuss industrial cooperation, energy and efforts against children and maternal mortality.
