The Office of the Prime Minister has from 8 February 2013 appointed Mr. Svein Sundsbø (69), Oslo, as political adviser to Minister of Petroleum and Energy Ola Borten Moe. He succeeds Mr. Ivar Vigdenes, who left the post on 6 February.

The Office of the Prime Minister has from 8 February 2013 appointed Mr. Svein Sundsbø (69), Oslo, as political adviser to Minister of Petroleum and Energy Ola Borten Moe. He succeeds Mr. Vigdenes, who left the post on 6 February.

Svein Sundsbø has held leading posts in Norwegian business and industry, and also at the Research Council of Norway and at the Agrarian Research Council of Norway. He was general secretary at the Norwegian Centre Party 1976-1984. Mr. Sundsbø was minister of agriculture in the Willoch Government 1985-1986, private adviser at the Ministry of Transport and Communications in the same government 1984-1985 and private secretary at the Ministry of Agriculture in the Korvald Government in 1973.
