Today’s research and higher education provide much of the foundation for welfare and value creation in the future, and are key priorities for the Government. Research and higher education are long-term activities, which means that policy must also be predictable and long term. The Government has therefore drawn up a long-term plan for research and higher education which stakes out a course for policy in this area for the period up to 2024.
