Den 1. mars sluttet Norge seg til EU-erklæringen om felles holdning mot Zimbabwe.

Brussels, 1. March 2013

Decleration by the High Representative, Cathrine Ashton, on behalf of the European Union on the alignment of certain thrid parties on restrictive measures concerning Zimbabwe.

On 18 February 2013, the Council adopted Decision 2013/89/CFSP 1 amending Council Decision 2011/101/CFSP.

The Decision removes 21 persons and one entity from the list of designated persons andentities set in Annex I to Council Decision 2011/101/CFSP and renews the existing measures until 20 February 2014. The Decision also suspends the travel ban imposed on 6 members of the Government of Zimbabwe.

The Acceding Country Croatia*, the Candidate Countries Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia*, Montenegro*, Iceland+ and Serbia*, the Countries of the Stabilisation and Association Process and potential candidates Albania and Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the EFTA countries Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, as well as the Republic of Moldova, and Armenia align themselves with this declaration.

They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.

The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.

* Croatia, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia continue to be part of the Stabilisation and Association Process.
