‘Norway condemns Russia’s military attack on Ukraine in the strongest possible terms. This attack is a serious violation of international law and endangers the lives of innocent people,’ said Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre

On Thursday, Russia launched a military operation against targets in Ukraine.

‘The Russian authorities bear full responsibility for catapulting Europe into this very severe situation. Russia must immediately cease its military activities and respect Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,’ said Mr Støre.

‘We stand together with the people of Ukraine at this terrible time.’
