Everyone shall have equal opportunities, rights and obligations to take part in society and make use of their resources, irrespective of economic or social background.
The pensions in the National Insurance Scheme consist of a basic pension which is earned irrespective of previous income and a supplementary pension based on so-called pensionable income and the number of pension points earned.
The pension system in Norway consists of pensions from the national insurance scheme, to which everyone is entitled, and various supplementary pensions.
