The Ministry of Local Government and Modernisation currently consists of nine specialised departments with responsibility for specific policy areas, a department of administrative affairs and a communication unit.

The department is in charge of the Ministry’s superior responsibility for the administration and modernization of the public sector as well as national ICT policy, including the supervision of the Agency for Public Management and eGovernment (DIFI).
