Norway to provide over NOK 1 billion to secure electricity in Ukraine

Norway will provide NOK 1.1 billion in support to Ukraine to secure the country’s electricity supply. ‘Russia is carrying out massive, systematic attacks to paralyse the power grid, but Ukrainians are working day and night to maintain essential electricity supplies for the population,’ said Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre.

Humanitarian conference sends clear message: suffering in Gaza must cease

‘The message to everyone who participated in the humanitarian conference for Gaza is clear: we must find solutions that end the suffering, and in the longer term, we must focus on rebuilding Gaza,’ said Minister of International Development Anne Beathe Tvinnereim.

Assembly of battle tanks in Norway

'I would like to congratulate KNDS Deutschland and RITEK who have today signed an agreement which means that, for the first time in history, tanks will be assembled in Norway. 37 of the 54 Leopard 2 tanks Norway has ordered from German Krauss-Maffei Wegmann are to be assembled at RITEK in Levanger. This could be the start of a new Norwegian industrial adventure', said Defence Minister Bjørn Arild Gram.
