Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion (2006–2010)

On 1 January 2006, the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (of 2004) had its name changed to the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion. Immigration, integration, Sami and minorities affairs were transferred from the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development. At the same time, alcohol and drug affairs were transferred from the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion to the Ministry of Health, which now had its name changed to the Ministry of Health and Care Services.

On 20 October 2009, responsibility for immigration affairs in the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion was transferred to the minister responsible for the Ministry of Justice and the Police, while responsibility for integration affairs was transferred to the minister responsible for the Ministry of Children and Equality (of 2006). On 1 January 2010, these affairs were transferred to the Ministry of Justice and the Police and the Ministry of Children and Equality (of 2006) respectively. The Ministry of Children and Equality (of 2006) now had its name changed to the Ministry of Children, Equality and Social Inclusion. At the same time, state pensions affairs were transferred to the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion from the Ministry of Government Administration and Reform. The Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion now had its name changed to the Ministry of Labour, listed here as the Ministry of Labour (of 2010).
