The aim of the talks was to help advance the diplomatic efforts to achieve a just and lasting peace in Ukraine.

‘We agree that it is crucial to work together, to look to the future and to do everything we can to help ensure that the diplomatic process is on the right track. Peace is possible, and it is necessary, for Ukraine, for Europe, and for the entire world,’ said Prime Minister Støre.

The talks addressed a range of issues, including Ukraine’s security, a post-war prosperity plan, and territorial questions.

‘We have had good, constructive talks today. I would like to acknowledge everyone’s positive contributions to the discussions and focus on finding potential ways forward,’ said Mr Støre.

The national security advisers from the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, the EU and NATO joined the discussions at a working dinner.

Prime Minister Støre stressed the importance of the close cooperation with Finland, other European allies and the US in the efforts to move towards peace.
