Defense ministers meeting in the European Intervention Initiative will take place in Oslo

The annual ministerial meeting for the 13 countries in the European Intervention Initiative (EI2) will take place in Oslo 7th of December.

The 13 countries participating in EI2 are Belgium, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Great Britain and Sweden. Representatives from all countries will be present in Oslo. Several of the countries’ defence ministers plan to attend.

On the agenda is the security situation in Europe after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The situation in Mali and western Africa will also be discussed, as well as status and future for cooperation in the initiative.
