Ukrainians in Norway need to register

Registration with the police is Ukrainians’ ticket to Norwegian society.
The Ministry of Justice and Public Security would like to inform Ukrainians in Norway that they need to register so they can access the right to housing, health care, a work permit, kindergarten, school, and family reunification.
Many Ukrainians who come to Norway do not know that they need to register in order to gain access to the best help possible. Some people are worried that their passports or ID documents will be taken away, but there is no danger of this.
About 80 percent of the arrivals are women and children. It can take time to find a place in a kindergarten and/or school. The sooner people register, the sooner we can help them.
