Emilie Kleiven Græsli was appointed political adviser to Minister of Culture and Equality Lubna Jaffery on April 24, 2026. From October 2025 to April 2026 she was appointed political adviser to Minister of Energy Terje Aasland.
She previously served as a county council politician in Trøndelag, as the Labour Party's leader in the main committee for education.
Græsli has also been the leader of the Workers' Youth League (AUF) in Trøndelag (2021–2023) and a municipal council representative for the Labour Party in her home muncipality of Tydal in Trøndelag.
She holds a master’s degree in law from the University of Oslo (2025).
