Communication activities from the Office of the Prime Minister are overseen by the State Secretary for Press Affairs. The State Secretary is the Prime Minister’s press spokesperson and maintains close contact with the information service of the governing party/parties.

Requests for access to information

Requests for access to information should be submitted to the Office of the Prime Minister by email to postmottak@smk.dep.no or via eInnsyn – the electronic public records website.

Access to the Government Office Complex is restricted. Members of the press attending press conferences or events at the Office of the Prime Minister should note the following:

Press representatives with press conference accreditation or an interview appointment at the Office of the Prime Minister should wait outside the D block at Einar Gerhardsens plass 2.

Valid proof of identity issued by a public authority and a valid press card must be presented.

The identity document must include a photo, full name and national identity number. The following documents are accepted as proof of identity for entry to the Government Office Complex:

Norwegian passport
Norwegian national ID card
Ministry of Defence ID card (FD-ID)
Police ID card
Foreign passport
Norwegian driving licence (digital driving licence will not be accepted)
European ID card
Diplomatic ID card issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
Access card issued by the Storting
Access card issued by the Ministry of Defence
Access card issued by DSS and DIO
