Prime Minister congratulates WHO’s Gro Harlem Brundtland

Following today’s election by the World Health Assembly of former Norwegian Prime Minister Gro Harlem Brundtland as director-general of the World Health Organisation (WHO), Prime Minister Kjell Magne Bondevik sent the following message to Ms. Brundtland:

“On behalf of the Norwegian Government I extend my congratulations and best wishes on the occasion of your election as the new director-general of WHO. In you, the World Health Organisation will have an outstanding leader with whom we look forward to cooperate with”.
