Norway's Prime Minister sends his condolences to Aung San Suu Kyi

The Norwegian Prime Minister, Kjell Magne Bondevik, on Saturday sent the following message of condolences to Burmese Nobel Laureate Aung San Suu Kyi, after having been informed of her husband's death:

"Dear Aung San Suu Kyi,

It is with great sorrow that I and your many friends in Norway have received the sad news of the untimely death of your husband, Michael Aris.
I had the good fortune of meeting him several times and know what a fine person he was and how devoted he also was to your cause.
In this trying hour our thoughts and sympathy reach out to you and your sons.

Please accept my sincere condolences.
