Conference on Europe 2008

The President of the European Commission, José Manuel Barroso, and Norwegian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jonas Gahr Støre, will give introductory addresses at this year’s Conference on Europe.

The Conference on Europe is arranged once a year, this year in cooperation between the Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the delegation of the European Commission to Norway.

 

PROGRAMME:

Our Most Burning Global Challenges:
Climate Change and Energy Security – Why and How the EU and Norway Care.

The conference will be held at Hotel Bristol, Monday 25 February 14.30–17.15.

14.30–15.00 
Registration and refreshments.                     

15.00 –16.00 
Introduction by President of the European Commission, Mr Barroso
and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Støre. Debate.
This session will be conducted in English.

16.00-17.45
Panel debate with Foreign Minister Støre, among others, followed by
questions from the floor. This session will be conducted in Norwegian.

The general public are requested to arrive before 14.45.
