Stoltenberg congratulates Medvedev

Norwegian Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg today sent the following message of congratulation to Russia's First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry A. Medvedev, after Medvedev’s victory in yesterday's presidential election:

“Dear First Deputy Prime Minister Medvedev,

Norway and Russia are enjoying historically good relations and vivid cooperation across our common border in the north. As good neighbours we have great possibilities and vital challenges that may only be solved in partnership.

I look forward to meeting you and carry on the good cooperation I have had with President Putin.
