Prime Minister Stoltenberg sends his condolences to the WHO staff and to Dr Nordström, acting Director-General, on the death of Director-General Dr. Lee Jong-wook. The letter reads as follows:

"Dear Dr Nordström,

I wish to extend to you and the WHO staff, my heartfelt condolences on the untimely death of Director-General Dr. Lee Jong-wook. I knew Dr. Lee as an experienced and dynamic leader. I will remember the many fruitful talks we had over the years on world health, and I was looking forward to working with him on UN reform.

Please convey my condolences also to his bereaved family.
