UN high-level panel meeting in Oslo
31 August – 1 September

The UN high-level panel will meet in Oslo from Thursday morning till Friday afternoon.

The meeting will be led by the three chairs of the panel Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, Norway, Prime Minister Shaukat Aziz, Pakistan, and Prime Minister Louisa Diogo, Mozambique.

The mandate for the panel is to formulate reforms which can strengthen the United Nations.

Members of the press who wish to cover the meeting will have to apply for accreditation within the deadline of 14.00 (GMT+1) 29 August. They should file their applications with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at press@mfa.no.

Thursday 31 August
At 9.00 am the meeting will be opened in the Gamle Logen at Grev Wedels Plass 2 in the centre of Oslo. There will be a photo opportunity for accredited press at the start of the meeting. For practical reasons, we will only allow one representative – photographer or journalist - from each publication/network.

At 7.30 pm a press pool will be given access to work at the start of the dinner for the particants. The dinner is hosted by Prime Minister Jens Stoltenberg, and the venue for the media access is the Vikingship Museum at Bygdøy. The Norwegian participants in the press pool will be ANB, NTB/Scanpix, NRK TV or TV2, and Se og Hør. International press who wish to be included in the press pool should contact Trude Måseide or Anne Odden.

Friday 1 September
At 10.30 am the three prime ministers will hold a press conference for the accredited press at Gamle Logen, the meeting venue.
