In today’s session of the Council of State the King has appointed Mr. Ole Morten Geving (33), communication advisor, Hølen, to the office as state secretary to Minister of Finance Kristin Halvorsen. Mr. Bjørn Arild Gram has been honourably discharged from the same office, as he has been elected mayor of Steinkjer.

Ole Morten Geving comes from a post as communication advisor with Gambit Hill & Knowlton. He has formerly been political advisor to the Centre Party’s parliamentary group and political secretary in the Centre Party. He is a member of the municipal council of Vestby in the County of Akershus. Mr. Geving holds the degree of Cand. Polit. with a major in economic geography, from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim.

The Government represents the Labour Party (Lab.), the Socialist Left Party (Soc.) and the Centre Party (Cent.). The list of state secretaries now is as follows:
