Statement by Foreign Minister Ine Eriksen Søreide on the situation in Iran

'I am deeply disturbed by reports on death toll and excessive use of violence in Iran. In a meeting with the Iranian embassy today, we urged Iran to respect the right to peaceful protest, freedom of expression, access to information and to re-establish access to internet', says the Minister.
