Ministry of Trade (of 1947) (1947–1955)

The Ministry of Trade was established on 6 December 1947. It is listed here as the Ministry of Trade (of 1947). Trade affairs were transferred from the Ministry of Trade (of 1916). This now had its name changed to the Ministry of Industry, listed here as the Ministry of Industry (of 1947). Budgetary and currency affairs were transferred to the Ministry of Trade (of 1947) from the Ministry of Finance and Customs, foreign trade affairs from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and export and import regulations affairs from the Ministry Provisioning and Reconstruction.

On 1 January 1955, shipping affairs were transferred to the Ministry of Trade (of 1947) from the Ministry of Industry (of 1947). The Ministry of Trade (of 1947) now had its name changed to the Ministry of Trade and Shipping.
