Congratulations on cease fire in Colombia

'I congratulate the Government of Colombia and the ELN guerrilla on agreeing on a cease fire during the peace talks held in Cuba. This is a crucial milestone together with an inclusive participatory model for settling the conflict', said Norway’s Minster of Foreign Affairs Anniken Huitfeldt.
'This is an important step to improve the humanitarian situation for the civilian population in Colombia', said Huitfeldt.
'As a guarantor country, Norway remains committed to assist the parties in their quest for peace. Norwegian diplomats have participated actively during the negotiations in Cuba', she said.
