– The High North is not only important for Norway – it is crucial. In Northern Norway there are businesses and jobs within space technology, industry, minerals, seafood and tourism, to mention a few. There are great opportunities here, but Norway must cooperate more closely with Europe! I look forward to discussing this during the important meeting place that is Arctic Frontiers, says the Norwegian Minister of Trade and Industry, Cecilie Myrseth.

A panel will look at what tourism contributes to Tromsø, such as jobs, value creation and a richer range of activities, but also about how to handle challenges such as population attrition, pressure on infrastructure and nature, and increased climate footprint. This session will be in Norwegian.

This session will explore how simplifying access to space can unlock new possibilities for innovation, growth, collaboration and strengthening resilience in one of the most strategic regions on Earth.

Where: Margarinfabrikken, the Edge

This session will focus on the role of space development in securing a resilient Arctic.
